Tires may be the most important part of your car. Your tires are what connect your vehicle to the road. Worn-out tires increase braking distance, have less control, and are at risk of blowing out. Visit Mills Chevrolet to find the right tires for your vehicle.
How to Check Your Tires
If you are unsure if your tires need to be replaced, there are a few easy ways to do it yourself. Drivers can quickly check for enough tread on their tires for only a penny. Simply take a penny and place Abe’s head down into the valley of the tread. If the tread at least touches the top of his head, there is enough tread. Most modern tires have wear indicators molded into the valley of the tread. If the tread even has those bars, your tires must be replaced.
Check for Bulges and Crack
Checking your tires for bulges and cracks should be regular. At Mills Chevrolet, we understand that your tires are not at the top of your mind, but if you’ve hit a big pothole or bump, it is important to check your tires for any damage. If you have any concerns, please schedule an appointment to have your tires inspected.
