Chevrolet Raises Green for Pink

In honor of national Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chevrolet is partnering with the American Cancer Society to pull in some major green for the pink. Last month, the automaker raced a bright pink Camaro SS pace car in both the Atlanta Motor Speedway challenge and the Richmond International Raceway event and made a $200 donation for each caution lap it ran. Though Chevy contributed nearly $30,000 to the American Cancer Society through this effort alone, the automaker is not stopping there.

Chevrolet prides itself on standing beside loyal customers on "life's great journey."1 This is why the brand will be encouraging employees, customers, fans and dealers, like Mills Chevrolet, to participate in any of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks held nationwide this month. In addition, Chevy will also offer customers the chance to waive eligibility for select service rebates such as oil change and brake pad discounts. Money from all waived rebates will then be put towards fighting breast cancer.

"Everyone knows someone who is impacted by this disease, whether it's your mother, wife, sister, daughter or friend, and we have several team members who are survivors so it's personal," said Steve Hill, GM North American vice president, GM Customer Care and Aftersales. "Donating your Chevy Certified Service rebate is another way that our customers can help fight breast cancer and promote life's adventures."1

And to top it all off, headquarters will feature a pink ribbon and pink LED sign for the month of October. Mills Chevrolet at 1610 39th Ave Moline, IL encourages all of its customers to contribute to national Breast Cancer Awareness month whether it is by participating in a walk or waiving service rebates on their new Chevrolet model. As always, contact us online or at (877) 843-8316 with questions about "strides" Chevy is making this month.
