The Sonic was recently named Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick, earning A-plus scores for Frontal Offset, Side Impact and Roof Strength tests. Talk about some pretty great grades!

Before earning the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) title of "safe" vehicles must prove their superiority by passing a series of rigorous high-speed crash assessments. These include: assessments of the front, sides, and rear; a roof strength test; and scrutiny of seat/head restraints.
