Chevrolet Exceeds its Own Expectations

Setting goals is great. Meeting your goals is even better. Surpassing your goals is...well...what comes after "even better"? Whichever adjective you'd use to describe this last feat, Mills Chevrolet encourages you to attach it to Chevrolet. That's because the ambitious automaker exceeded even its own expectations and broke a global sales record for the year 2011.
More specifically, Chevy worldwide vehicle sales reached 4.76-million, pushing total GM sales to over 9-million. In case you're wondering which market help produce the most Chevrolet gains, look no farther than your own backyard. U.S. Chevy sales were up more than 13-percent from 2010. This comes as no surprise considering the popularity of models such as the Chevrolet Sonic found throughout American dealerships like Mills Chevrolet.
Dan Akerson, GM Chairman and CEO, adds, "Chevrolet's impressive growth in both established and developing markets is the result of a strong new product lineup that meets the diverse needs of consumers around the world."1 That lineup includes models like the Chevy Cruze which continually proves to be a best-seller and helps position the automaker as a top passenger car brand.
While looking over our shoulder at the past year provides a welcomed boost of confidence, Mills Chevrolet is also interested in keeping our eyes focused on the future. And what is it that we see? you ask. More positive Chevrolet projections of course! Confirming our bright outlook, Tim Lee, President of GM International Operations, says, "In 2012, we will continue to expand our range with even more great vehicles as we pursue further growth in our key markets."2
As Mills Chevrolet keeps an eye on Chevy progression throughout 2012, we encourage you to follow right along with us. Simply stay tuned to our Chevrolet blog or engage in discussion with us at 1610 39th Ave Moline, IL 61265.
