Chevrolet Offers a Once In a Lifetime Experience

Mills Chevrolet trusts the engineers at Chevrolet to build high-quality new Chevrolet models with great skill and precision. Nonetheless, it'd be pretty cool to build your own vehicle or vehicle part. Don't you agree? Jeff Kasper sure does. The California-based Chevy enthusiast is the first consumer to take part in the GM Crate Engine Build Experience which, as the name suggests, allows auto lovers to build their own Chevrolet engine.
Kasper provides insight into the program saying, "The build program was the thrill of a lifetime. Going inside the assembly facility and actually participating in building my very own engine greatly exceeded my expectations."1
And when Kasper says he built the engine...he means it. Under the light guidance of a trained engineer, program participants are able to actually put together their own Chevrolet part. That includes everything from installing the crankshaft to tightening down the intake. What's more, enthusiasts are given the opportunity to put their name on the engine plague before it's tested and ready for use.
If you're interested in building your own engine through the GM Crate Engine Build Experience, let Mills Chevrolet know. Once you confirm you're participation, company officials will set you up with a special concierge to help you find local lodging in Detroit. While getting to the factory is up to you, Chevrolet does say that it will provide special transportation to and from the Performance Build Center as well as set up Chevy-related activities.
For those who prefer to appreciate Chevrolet vehicles from behind the wheel rather than behind the engine, we invite you to check out our full lineup at Mills Chevrolet, 1610 39th Ave Moline, IL 61265.
