Chevrolet came in first in a survey on car reliability, according to new research by Warranty Direct's Reliability Index. The survey analyzed "the frequency of failure and also the cost of repair to customers' cars".  Chevrolet earned a leading score of just 20.00. The lower the score, the better the reliability and lower the cost.

Chevrolet also claims the lowest 'time-off-the-road' in terms of repairs, with an average of 1.41 days per claim to repair.

The next generation Chevrolet Malibu will be on dealership floors, including Mills Chevrolet at 1610 39th Ave. Moline, IL 61265 sooner than expected.

According to Detroit Free Press, "Production of the 2013 Malibu will begin in January, rather than in May 2012." Confirming the report, Chevrolet spokesman Dave Darovitz, said the accelerated program "had been requested by Dan Akerson, chairman and chief executive of General Motors."
