The 2011 Camaro is almost ready production, and GM is eagerly awaiting the next wave of Camaro fans who want to head into Chevrolet Dealers to sign up for test drives of the classic muscle car.
2011's Camaro is getting a small price bump of $350 for the 2LT and 2SS models, but its well worth is considering the power and torque bump.
The 2010 model car was officially rated at 304 bhp with torque peaking at 273 lb-ft. However, as the engine has been re-certified for an extra 8 bhp out of the VVT direct-injection V6 engine, and torque was increased by some 5 lb-ft.
"We are pleased with Camaro's success in the market during its first year of production," said Jim Campbell, U.S. Vice President, Chevrolet Marketing. "The 2010 model year has been a banner year for us, and we plan to build on this momentum."
And 2011's model looks like it will have an even better upgraded engine variant, along with the hot new old-school look Chevy has used with Camaro to attract fans old and new.
One of the top features from the 2010 Camaro (and continuing in 2011's) is GM's popular Heads-Up Display, which will include:
* Vehicle speed
* Tachometer
* Compass
* Outside air temperature
* Manual Paddle Shift Gear Indicator (if equipped)
* OnStar Turn-by-Turn
* Audio functions
* Phone information
* Selected gear
* Turn signal indicators
* High-beam indicator signal
* Vehicle messages
