Camaro Leads US Sports Car Segment

Consumers made the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro the best-selling sports car in the U.S. for the first full year of sales. From May 2009 to May 2010, Camaro posted 99,872 total sales, outselling its closest competitor by nearly 20,000 vehicles. Camaro continues to bring new customers to Chevrolet dealerships - at home and overseas. 

In the U.S., the 2010 Camaro's first full month of sales was May, 2009. Camaro took the lead in monthly share of segment a month later and led the sales race for 11 of the last 12 months.

2011 Chevy Cruze Pricing & Specs

The all-new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze will begin arriving in U.S. dealerships this September, starting at $16,995, including destination. Priced to compete in the compact-car segment, the Cruze offers more interior room, more miles per gallon in the Eco model, and more standard safety features than any of its competitors.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox & Traverse

According to recent General Motors press release, almost 2 out of 3 buyers of the Traverse and Equinox traded in non-Chevrolet vehicles so far this year.  Half of buyers traded in a non-GM vehicle.  These "conquest" vehicles are part of a very exciting trend as GM works to expand its share of the US market.

Chevy Volt Pricing - Lease or Buy?

General Motors announced pricing for the 2011 Chevy Volt last week, as well as an attractive lease offer. The Volt will have a base price of $41,000 before state and federal incentives.  The effective price is expected to be $33,500 after a $7500 federal tax credit. 

The lease offer seems much more attractive.  After a $2,500 down-payment, a 36 month lease will run $350 a month.  The total cost over 3 years comes out to $14,600. Lease customers will have the tax credit factored into their payments, cutting the three-year cost to $7,100.  There is…
